Carrying and running
What you can take with you, and how it slows you down.
Your backpack
Your backpack holds 28 items. Most items take a slot each, while some stack in a single slot. Anything you drop stays on the ground for two minutes, then it is gone.
What you wear
You have slots for your head, body, feet and hands, as well as your weapon, a shield and a ring. Put on a piece by clicking it in your backpack. Some ask for a skill level first, and the tooltip tells you which.
Hover over an item to see its bonuses. The Equipment tab adds up everything you are wearing.
Tools
A hatchet, pickaxe, hammer or fishing net only has to be with you: in your backpack or in your hand. You always use the best one you have the level for. Tools do not wear out, and if you lose one, the master who gave it to you will replace it.
Walking and running
Running is twice as fast as walking, but it uses up your run energy. A full bar lasts about a minute empty-handed, and about half that under a heavy load. Walking or standing still fills it back up, in under seven minutes from empty.
Weight
Every item weighs something, in kilograms, and everything you carry or wear counts. The more you carry, the faster your energy drains. Your Equipment tab shows the total, and so does the tooltip on the run button.
